IT Consulting & Strategy — Technology Decisions That Stick

Most strategy consulting decks die in the drawer. We deliver written, opinionated technology decisions tied to a 90-day execution plan — and a frank read on whether your current stack, vendors, or team can actually deliver it.

From discovery to a 90-day execution plan
    1. 1
      Week 1
      Stakeholder interviews & access
    2. 2
      Weeks 2–4
      Architecture, cost, process deep-dive
    3. 3
      Week 5
      Findings & recommendations workshop
    4. 4
      Week 6
      Written report + 90-day plan
    5. 5
      Weeks 7–8
      Execution kickoff (optional)

Every recommendation has an owner, a cost estimate, and a deadline — not 'consider'.

    What you get

Technology strategy: target architecture, sequencing, and a 12-month roadmap mapped to revenue or cost outcomes
Architecture review of your current platform — risks, debt, and what to retire first
Cloud cost audit: typical engagements identify 25–45% of cloud spend that's recoverable
Vendor and SaaS rationalization — which contracts to renew, renegotiate, or replace
DevOps maturity assessment with a remediation roadmap (CI/CD, observability, incident response)
Security audit covering OWASP, secrets management, supply-chain risk, and SOC 2 readiness
Hiring & org-design input — the right team shape often matters more than the architecture

    When it fits

    • Your engineering org has grown faster than its processes and the cracks are showing
    • You're considering a major migration (cloud, platform, monolith→services) and want a second opinion
    • Leadership wants an independent read before greenlighting a big technology bet
    • You'd rather pay for one honest audit than three vendor-aligned proposals

    When it doesn't

    • You're looking for validation of a decision already made — we'll say what we actually think
    • The real problem is people, and the org isn't ready to address it — strategy can't fix that
    • You need execution, not advice — that's an AI Pod or a dedicated team

    Process

Most engagements are 4–8 weeks. Week 1: stakeholder interviews and system access. Weeks 2–4: deep-dive on architecture, costs, and processes. Weeks 5–6: written deliverable with recommendations, prioritized backlog, and a 90-day execution plan. Optional weeks 7–8: kickoff support for the first execution phase.

    Pricing

Fixed-price by deliverable. Architecture review: $20–40k. Cloud cost audit: $15–30k (typically pays for itself in 3–4 months). Full strategy engagement: $60–150k. Vendor-independent — we're paid by you, not by anyone we recommend.

    FAQ

    Are you vendor-neutral?
Yes — we don't take referral fees from any vendor we recommend, and we'll tell you when 'roll your own' beats 'buy from anyone'. Our income is from clients, not from a marketplace.
Will you tell us things we don't want to hear?
That's most of the value. If we agree with the existing plan in writing, the report is short. Usually we don't — and the reasons are specific, not 'best practice' platitudes.
Can you also execute the recommendations?
Often, yes — and clients often choose us because the team that wrote the plan owns the execution. But it's optional: take the deliverable elsewhere and you'll get the same product. We won't engineer the report to require us.
