    When it fits

    • You have sensors, PLCs, or CNC machines generating data that nobody can currently read in software
    • Downtime costs more than the integration — predictive maintenance typically breaks even in 3–6 months
    • Your MES or ERP is running on yesterday's production data because the integration doesn't exist
    • You can give us access to a machine or line for a 2-week pilot before the full rollout

    When it doesn't

    • The plant runs purely manual processes — there's nothing to instrument yet
    • OT security requirements prohibit any network connectivity to production machines — we'll work within the constraints, but be explicit
    • You need a turnkey SCADA system — we build custom integrations and analytics, not licensed SCADA software

    Process

    Week 1–2: one-machine pilot — OPC UA / MQTT connection established, data flowing to a staging environment. Weeks 3–6: data model, time-series store, and first dashboard. Weeks 7–12: predictive maintenance baseline and MES integration. Security and OT network segmentation runs in parallel from week one.

    Fixed-price by phase. Pilot (2 weeks, one machine): $15–30k. Full line integration: $80–250k. Predictive maintenance model: $40–120k added to integration. Infrastructure (edge hardware, cloud) is billed at cost.

    FAQ

    Which protocols do you support?
    OPC UA is the default for modern industrial equipment. For older machines: Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and MQTT where a gateway is already in place. We'll survey what your machines actually speak in week one before recommending an architecture.
    Does this require internet connectivity on the factory floor?
    No. The edge layer processes locally and can operate in a fully air-gapped OT network. Cloud sync is optional and one-directional when OT security policy requires it. We design around your ISA/IEC 62443 requirements, not around our preferred architecture.
    How accurate is predictive maintenance?
    Accuracy depends entirely on signal quality and failure history. Our honest answer: plan 6–12 months of baseline data collection before the model is reliable enough to trust — and we'll tell you that in discovery rather than overpromise in the proposal.
    Can you integrate with our existing SCADA or MES?
    Yes, for most major platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition, SAP ME, Oracle, custom). We build integrations, not replacements — your existing SCADA stays in place and gets a data feed it can use.
